2003 - The Beginning of company
FIRST MANUFACTORY OF THE HONEY CAKES MARLENKA®
In 2003, the Armenian Gevorg Avetisjan founded with his sister the Czech company in Frydek-Mistek which produces honey cakes MARLENKA® based on an old Armenian family recipe.
In honor of mothers and daughters owner got cake name MARLENKA.
At the time of its inception, the company has one employee, but year after year it is dynamically growing.
2005 - DEVELOPMENT
SECOND MANUFACTORY OF THE HONEY CAKES MARLENKA®
The number of employees after the launch of the second production hall is 85 and the annual production is 250,000 cakes.
At the end of 2008 the number of employees increases to 186, the production runs in continuous process to meet the demand and the annual production reaches 1,250,000 pieces of cakes.
To increase the level of hygiene standards and to meet a growing customer´s demand, it was decided to invest in a modern operating plant.
2008 - uNIQUE aSSEMBLY LINE
A BUILDING OF NEW AUTOMATIZED PRODUCTION HALL
In April 2009, it completed a new, modern production hall with an area of 4,000 square meters.
Production hall conceals a fully automatic production line, designed in the Netherlands, which is by its functionality only one in the world and its production capacity is 1000 cakes per hour.
2014 - eXTENSION
EXTENSION OF THE PRODUCTION HALL
In 2014 another production hall was additionally built to the original building, thanks to which the total built-up area reached 8,000 square meters.
A fully automated production line for Napoleonky (preparation of puff dough, baking and decoration sections and packaging line) and for favorite MARLENKA® nuggets was installed in the new factory.
The installation of these machines has led to a considerable increase in the efficiency of production capacity. As the year of 2014 is a year of major changes, the name of Miko International Ltd. has been changed to MARLENKA International Ltd.
