Welcome to Marlenka Street
The street where our honey cakes are made now proudly bears our name.
As announced in March this year, the former Valcířská Street in Frýdek-Místek has been officially renamed Marlenka Street.
The unveiling ceremony for the new street name sign took place on 29 September 2025 and was attended by the Mayor, Petr Korč, city councillors, representatives of MARLENKA International s.r.o., and the press.
“It’s a great honour that our city has recognised our company by renaming the street. Marlenka is to Frýdek-Místek what Hyundai is to Nošovice or Oreo to Opava. Plus, Marlenka is a 100% Czech company representing our country around the globe,” said the company owner Gevorg Avetisjan.
According to Avetisjan, the new address will further strengthen the brand’s position with its business partners:
“I’m convinced the street name will elevate the company’s credibility, adding prestige and international recognition. No other company has brought Frýdek-Místek such renown as Marlenka has. We want to continue developing important role in the city, including as the most active employer in Frýdek-Místek.”
The Mayor, Petr Korč (from Naše Město F-M), added: “We deeply value investors who strengthen our city’s reputation worldwide, just as Marlenka does with each of its delicious honey products.”
The renaming of the street is more than just a formality. It marks an important milestone that underlines the strong bond between the MARLENKA brand and the region where it was born and from where it has reached customers all over the world.
