MARLENKA - Czech leader of the Moravian-Silesian Region 2019
CZECH LEADER AWARDS know their winners. The winner in the Moravian-Silesian Region (138 companies) is MARLENKA international s.r.o. known mainly for its popular MARLENKA cake.
The award for MARLENKA international s.r.o. was received by Nshan Avetisyan, son of the company owner.
This year’s final round included 89 companies with the best business results. These companies were selected from the total of 1,307 that matched the competition criteria. Selection was performed by an expert guarantor of the competition – CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau. Of all the shortlisted companies, 43 % are family owned businesses and 63 % sell their products and services abroad.
More than half of all the companies (62.5 %) that made it to the finals of this year’s CZECH LEADER AWARDS have been on the Czech market for over 20 years, 54 % of them were established in the first half of the 1990s. “The analysis also showed that the main motivation for most of the “leaders” was a desire to become independent and self-sufficient, to follow their own way, or to save a business that would perish otherwise. The owners currently accentuate the need for supporting meaningful regional activities,” explained Helena Kohoutová, founder of the CZECH LEADER AWARDS and the Helas Business Platform – Building Proud Czechia.
